I started as a frontend developer, close enough to design to fall in love with it, far enough to understand how things get built.

The switch wasn't planned. But once I crossed over, I never looked back.

Nine years later, what keeps me here isn't the craft, it's the impact. A product I designed helping a kitchen run smoother. An app that actually solves someone's real problem. An agency that lands a client because the work looked and felt right. Small ripples, maybe. But ripples matter.

I live by one principle: hidup harus berguna bagi sesama. Life should be useful to others. It's why I design, why I'm honest with clients even when it's uncomfortable, and why I named my son Gunaka Sasama, Sundanese for "useful to others."

That's not a tagline. That's just who I am.

My process starts with one question: is this actually the problem?

Before I open Figma, I want to understand what we're really solving. I break down the problem, challenge the assumptions, and make sure we're building the right thing, not just building things right. If something doesn't make sense, we talk it through. Designing the wrong solution is just expensive guesswork.

That said, I know when to lead and when to follow.

When there's a PM or PO with a solid PRD on the table, I'm heads down and executing with precision. I respect process, I respect structure, and I know how to work within a system without losing the quality of the output.

Two modes. One standard: make it count.
